We all enjoy the sight of a living, dancing fire, set in a traditional mantel fireplace. Even without the penetrating radiant heat, it is enough to make you feel wonderfully warm.

But there is the wood to chop, the fire to set, ash to clean. Unless of course you install a Wonderfire. A Wonderfire looks so real you could be forgiven for believing the coals or wood logs are real. In fact they are made of ceramics that not only look realistic but reach their maximum temperature in a matter of minutes. You receive the full benefits of your Wonderfire instantly.

But it’s the Wonderfire you don’t see that makes it such a pleasurable source of warmth! At its heart is a sophisticated ceramic venturi burner that proportions and premixes the gas to ensure complete combustion. At 1200C it gives a real fire glow at the base of the coals or logs. The gases then pass through secondary slots, are mixed with more air and then burnt again to produce clean flames, that dance and shimmer like a real log fire.

All of our Wonderfires offer the convenience of an electronic ignition system that incorporates a pilot light for ease of operation or you might choose our new, optional remote control. Safety is also an important feature of the Wonderfire. A flame failure device automatically turns the gas off in the event of the fire going out.

Designed to increase the amount of heat produced by the Type 1 burners, the Wonderfire Fan forced box incorporates a unique heat exchange at the top of its firebox. The heat exchange is heated by hot flue gases that normally escape up the flue.

The fan then gently circulates the heated air through your room. The Wonderfire Fan Forced box can be installed into an existing chimney using one of our standard cast iron fascias or can be adapted by your Wonderfire Dealer into a new installation using the ‘Easy-fit’ version where no masonry is required.

It’s a grand feeling

You know the feeling when you walk into a nice, big, cosy room warmed by a dancing living fire? Grand isn’t it? We have captured that feeling with our largest gas log fire, named appropriately, The Grand.

The Grand is a big fire with an opening of 700mm and a heat output of 5kW. It is available in two configurations, either as a burner and log kit, with manual valve to fit existing fireplaces, or in a “Zero Clearance Box”, with electronic ignition and 3 speed fan, for false chimney applications.

The Grand will complement any decor. It will fit nicely into an existing traditional fireplace, or, because it’s powered by gas and needs no hearth, will enhance the spacious harmony of modern, contemporary decor.

However you won’t love The Grand for its looks alone! It’s also a very practical way of heating your home. One press of the electronic ignition button and you’ll be enveloped in warmth. It’s a warmth that can easily be controlled using high or low flame and one of 3 fan settings. Because The Grand runs on LPG or Natural gas, there’s no ash or wood to chop. So isn’t time you became comfortable on a grand scale!

Turn an old flame into a new flame

In days bygone, it was customary to have a small fire in just about every room of the house. It’s easy to understand people’s love affair with the intimate atmosphere and warmth these traditional open fires produced. Today, many would like to retain the atmosphere but don’t want the ash and the odour.

With the Gas Flame range of decorative coal fires, you will enjoy the dancing flames and comforting warmth of a real fire without the mess.

Designed to be installed into existing or approved fireplaces, your empty fireplace will again be the focal point of the room. The 290C model has been designed to fit most Victorian style fireplaces with few modifications. The 420C Gas Flame will fit larger grates or our 600 basket grate. This is easily fitted into a brick open fireplace or a steel firebox, designed to circulate the hot air with greater efficiency. If your chimney is in sound condition, all you will need to complete installation of either model is a 150mm diameter gas cowl.

A double burner for twice the effect.

The Gas Flame uses a unique double burner system. A primary burner heats the high efficiency coals to temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Celsius, providing good radiant heat and a cosy glow.

A secondary burner across the front of the fire provides a wafting yellow flame for a realistic fire effect. The Gas Flame will provide good background warmth in an average room*.

Why we introduced the Gas Log Fire!

Like taste for wine, preference in home heating can be a personal thing. While many thousands of Australians enjoy the warmth and unique style of the renowned gas log fire, not everyone wants to chop wood, set the fire and clean the ash. One glance at the solid steel (versus sheet metal) Gas Log Fire with its cast iron door and you know it can only be a gas log fire. The Gas Log Fire provides penetrating radiant warmth using convenient gas supplemented by fan forced convection heat.

Just a quick flick of a switch and the electronic ignition will have real flames dancing behind the wide window of your Gas Log Fire.

Unlike many gas fires, the window is double glazed and doesn’t need steel mesh. You have a clear view of the realistic log fire that enhances your room’s atmosphere while providing constant warmth.
